Visit our Site

A fun family holiday under the stars

One of the best family holidays you can try out is to take your family camping. As well as being an economic way to go on holiday, you can also have a totally different experience than you’d have staying in a hotel. There’s no need for the children to be quiet all the time, and they’ll have all the space they need to run around and play.

What to see

Ireland offers a huge range of countryside and coastal camping. One of the largest counties is Cork – and this has also been labelled the warmest because it is in the Gulf Stream. Its beaches are beautiful and sandy, but inland there are scenic hills and valleys to explore.

Another place you might choose to be based for your holiday is in the Lakes of Killarney, in County Kerry. There’s a huge range of things to see and do in this area – you probably won’t have time to do them all in just one holiday. There’s the scenic Torc Waterfall and the lakes themselves; Killarney is the best starting point for tourists new to the area. There are also historical monuments to explore like Muckross Abbey which had been established by the Fransiscan order in 1448 and was burnt to the ground by Cromwell’s armies in 1653. Muckross House is a manor home transformed into a museum. It overlooks the lakes and documents the history of life in Kerry.

Part of the fun of camping is doing things that you wouldn’t do at home, like eating dinner round a campfire and sleeping out under the stars. Of course, there’s having to walk to a shower and loo block to do your ablutions and having to carry your washing up 100 yards to the hot water supply, but that’s all part of the fun. And think how luxurious your home will feel after a week or two of living out in the elements.

What to pack

Of course, you need some proper kit if you’re going to do it properly. Instead of getting a couple of two or three man tents, you might find it more suitable to get one of the many <a href="http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/camping/tents"rel="nofollow">family tents that are available in the outdoors shops today. These often have two or three bedroom ‘compartments’ as well as a communal central area. If you have younger children, in a family tent you will be able to sleep soundly, knowing that they are close at hand.

Everyone needs a <a href="http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/camping/sleeping-bags"rel="nofollow">sleeping bag, of course. Children can have junior sleeping bags that mean they don’t slip down to the bottom of an adult one and there are baby-sized sleeping bags available too. Make sure you have plenty of warm clothes and clothes that dry out easily. If you’re unlucky enough to have a week of rain, you’ll appreciate having some dry things to put on!

Visit our Site

7 Honeymoon Travel Tips

Preparing for your honeymoon can be both exciting and stressful. There are so many destinations, considerations, and wedding plans to balance.

Couples often plan their honeymoon together. Or the bride or groom plans it alone for a surprise at the wedding. Either way, here are 7 tips to prepare for your honeymoon.

1. Choose a budget

When you determine a budget early, you can more easily find a honeymoon destination that is realistic and well planned. This will ease stress in your planning and give you a clear picture of what is possible and desired.

2. Choose a destination

There are so many places to travel; think staycation, Caribbean cruise, Sandals Resorts, Ireland, Tahiti, Fiji, etc. Once you have your budget, choosing a location comes down to types of vacations that interest you. This may include beach vacations, historical tours, luxurious accommodations, or whatever fits your style. Think of activities you enjoy together and pick a destination that gives you options around those activities.

3. Consider a travel agent

If you’re staying home for your honeymoon, you can plan all the details yourself. If you’re going somewhere for the first time, especially international travel, find a travel agent that can share their experiences with you. They can help you select <a href="http://www.totemtravel.com/sandals-inclusive-resort.html"rel="nofollow">the best resort, destination, restaurants, and activities. They know the best times of year to travel to each location and will help you secure all the little details that make your honeymoon memorable and smooth.

4. Prepare for memories

Find an online photography course or take a local class together on how to take better pictures. Your honeymoon memories will be something you review often. Make sure you have the right camera for your type of travel (point-and-shoot, Digital SLR, etc.). Know how to use the camera and how to take great pictures in bright sunlight or dim-lighted sunset settings so you can capture every detail.

5. Find a great travel checklist

There are so many rules when traveling, especially to international spots. Take this <a href="http://www.realsimple.com/holidays-entertaining/weddings/honeymoon-packing-00000000003503/index.html"rel="nofollow">honeymoon checklist, for example, and make sure to add specialty items that pertain to you and your “new” spouse.

Honeymoon in Ireland

6. Book travel in your maiden name

Remember that you won’t probably have identification in your married name by the time you leave for your honeymoon. There may be a few exceptions like a delayed honeymoon. Keep a copy of your marriage certificate, passports, driver’s license, etc. to explain any discrepancies as you travel.

7. Print a copy of travel and activity documents

Determine if you’ll have mobile cell service at your destination; or if you’ll want it. This may mean that planning calendar events on your phone or other mobile apps may not be useable at your destination. Keep a printed copy of your itinerary with your travel documents.

We here at Redseven have recently run a survey asking over 2,400 stags and hens about their parties in terms of where they went, what they got up to and how much they spent back in 2011.

Not surprisingly hens like to buy gifts for the bride-to-be as well as surprise her on where they’re taking her to. Stags on the other hand spent considerably more money on booze and weren’t too worried about keeping the destination a secret from the groom. For the full breakdown of results then take a look at the info graphic below…

Although London came out top as our most popular hen weekend destination for the UK and Marbella for overseas, many of our hens still chose a <a href="http://www.redsevenleisure.co.uk/dublin-hen-weekend.php"rel="nofollow">Dublin hen weekend.widgets_on_pages id=”Post1

Dublin is a passionate and culturally rich capital city, which is cheap to fly to and makes for a refreshing change from many other capital cities in Europe. Whether it’s a weekend away to relax and enjoy the stunning Irish countryside along with good food and sightseeing, or you just want the atmosphere of an exciting city full of life to go out and party in, Dublin has it all waiting for you.

The best area to head to for the ultimate night out is Temple Bar where you can visit old traditional pubs alongside contemporary bars all set back against pretty cobbled streets. One of the only areas in Dublin that has left its medieval streets unchanged, it’s a great area to wander around during the daytime too. Browse the vintage clothes shops, record shops and galleries taking a break to rest your feet at one of the quirky cafes.

Also the birthplace of Oscar Wilde and William Butler Yeats to name a couple, the Irish Capital has plenty for cultural heads. In the centre of Dublin there are four big theatres including the renowned Gate theatre which put on classic world plays, music events and other productions every day. There are numerous festivals on throughout the year most notably St Patricks Day on the 17th March where the city comes alive with celebration of the national patron saint. This consists of a huge street parade, drinking and parties, and is a great time to visit for those wanting to join in the local festivities.

Dublin is buzzing with entertainment even when there are no festivals going on and is a worthy rival for the top hen destination!

Visit our Site

Indianapolis will be hosting Superbowl XLVI, with millions from all over the world coming to town to visit. There are going to be plenty of Superbowl related parties with big name artists and celebrities coming to town, such as Pitbull and Snoop Dogg. For $25, you can participate in the NFL experience, which allows you to try different mini games and meet handfuls of athletes who are walking around the complex. There is also a zipline that is running above the Superbowl village that affords you the opportunity to get a bird’s eye view of the city and festivities.

With so many Superbowl events going on, many don’t realize that there is more to the city than the village and concerts. For those wanted to experience the city, I recommend checking out these 5 attractions:

1. NCAA Hall of Champions – Indianapolis is home to the NCAA Headquarters, which are only a couple of miles from Lucas Oil Stadium. Next to the headquarters is the NCAA Hall of Champions that has several mini games for several sports. They also have a large collection of memorabilia from every NCAA school. All college sports fan must check out the NCAA Hall of Champions. Even if you aren’t into sports, you can learn about your alma mater and their achievements.

2. Fountain Square - If you want to see the artistic side of Indianapolis, Fountain Square is where you need to go. Not only is this part of town bustling with artistic shops, but there is plenty of good music as well. After you are done shopping, you can enjoy a nice meal at one of the dozens of nice restaurants. It’s also walking distance from Lucas Oil Stadium.

3. Broad Ripple Avenue - Broad Ripple Avenue is the place to go for nightlife in Indianapolis. They have dozens of bars and clubs that will satisfy any scene you are looking for. During the day, there is plenty of shopping and great restaurants to grab a quick bite.

4. Children’s Museum - Did you know that Indianapolis is home to the largest children’s museum in the world? There is plenty to do at the museum and will keep you entertained for hours. Even if you aren’t traveling with children, you should check out all of the cool exhibits this museum has to offer.

5. Soldiers and Sailors Monument- Located right in the center of the circle, the Soldiers and Sailors Monument has become an icon of Indianapolis. For those brave enough to climb the 300+ steps to the top, you can enjoy a beautiful aerial view of Indianapolis (there is also an elevator for $2). There are plenty of great restaurants around the monument as well. During the Superbowl, they are displaying the large roman numerals in front of the monument.

We hope this guide helps you make the most of your visit to Indianapolis. For more suggestions on
things to do in Indianapolis, check out the <a title="Travel Products" href="http://www.travelproducts.com"rel="nofollow">Travelproducts.com blog.

Bio: Adam has been busy helping international travelers find the right <a title="Travel adapter" href="http://www.travelproducts.com/store/electric.htm"rel="nofollow">travel adapter for their trip to the
United States. When he isn’t busy at work, he enjoys traveling, golfing, and cooking.

Visit our Site

Ireland is a spectacularly beautiful country which fully deserves exploring if you get the chance, and there is no better way to do so than to rent a car and go on a road trip.

But where should you go?

Here are a few of the best driving routes in Ireland to help you to see as much of the country as possible the next time you visit this beautiful island.

1. The Ring of Kerry

The Ring of Kerry is the most well-known road trip in the country, and it is easy to see why this is so as soon as you hit the road.

Located in the southwest, the Ring of Kerry will take you through some of the most stunning countryside you’ll find in Ireland. You can do the route in a day if you want to, but by far the best option is to take your time and stop off at one of the bed and breakfasts along the way to get more out of your trip.

Start your journey in Killarney, and soon you’ll come across the Macgillycuddy’s Reeks which contain the highest mountain in Ireland, Carrauntoohil.

Then progress on your route, stopping at towns including Killorglin, Glenbeigh, Kells and Caherciveen, all of which will provide you with a different experience.

Highlights of the journey include Caragh Lake, Valentia Island, the Coomakista Pass with its stunning views of the Kenmare River, and Ladies’ View which provides a fantastic view over the Killarney Lakes.

Don’t rush this driving route, but spend as long as you want to exploring all of the beautiful attractions along the way. It’s difficult to find a better weekend of driving anywhere else in Ireland.

2. The West Coast

The wild and rugged west coast of Ireland is an area that deserves exploration, and the best way to see it is to simply jump into your car and make up your own itinerary.

The Cliffs of Moher should definitely be on your route. These are located in County Clare on the Atlantic coast, and they are one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Ireland. Tourists flock to these famous 200-metre-high cliffs to enjoy spectacular views over the deep blue sea below – just remember not to go too near the edge!

The Burren region is known for its exquisite beauty, and aside from the natural splendour you’ll encounter at every turn, you should also keep an eye out for some interesting wildlife and sea birds including the Atlantic Puffin.

Another place you might want to stop off at is the nearby Aran Islands, one of the main highlights of any driving trip on the west coat of Ireland.

3. The South Coast

The south coast of Ireland has many beautiful and interesting towns to explore, as well as the stunning coastline.

Kinsale is a good place to start your road trip, and from there you can head down to Cork City which is no more than half an hour away. Blarney Castle is the next highlight of the trip, and remember to kiss the Blarney Stone to benefit from the ‘gift of the gab’.

You can then head on to Waterford along the coast, an ancient city dating back to Viking times, and on the way you can stop off at any number of towns including Courtmacsherry, Rosscarbery, Garrettstown and more.

See the Best of Ireland

If you want to explore Ireland properly then a road trip to any of the above areas is a fantastic idea.

Of course, if you feel like something that will take in even more of the country, why not do an entire circuit of the island? You could start at Dublin and go all the way around in 10 days if you are in a rush, or take another 10 days over it and do it slowly. You could even venture North to see Donegal and Antrim’s famous Giant’s Causeway. You’ll find that most hotels in Ireland come with excellent parking and are overall well known for their quality in comparison to most other European countries.

There is no better way to see all of the beautiful areas of this stunning country than driving, so start planning your road trip in Ireland today.

Visit our Site

So you are all ready to start to plan your Vacation. You have chosen to go to Ireland. You heard a lot about it but have really no clue on where to stay. The first thing you do is go to Google and type in Hotels In Ireland..

Now just imagine that when that user types “Hotels In Ireland” your hotel website comes up in the top 3 if not #1! You do know that will bring in an influx of new visitors to your website who will most likely want to book a few nights at your establishment. That is until you see that for “Hotels In Ireland” you are on page 13 of Google.

Not many hotel owners understand that in order to bring in good, potential travelers they must do proper SEO for their website in order to be found in the search engines. Some have the impression of ‘Well since I’m online they will automatically fine me”. Sorry wish it was that easy.

When doing any type of SEO for your hotel business you got to make sure that a few <a title="SEO Basics" href="http://SEOFuture.com"rel="nofollow">SEO basics are done already to your website. A way to start this is to check on a few things you can do yourself.

Do you have the correct Title Tag? This is the headline that appears at the top of the browser. This title should contain your main keyword.

What keywords are you trying to rank for? When selecting your keywords you have to look at a number of factors such as competition, search volume, relevance, etc. This function in itself can take time but in order to start your SEO right it must be done.

Make sure you are using the proper tags within your content such as H1 tags, inbound links, meta tags etc. It is a good idea to make bold some of the important keywords within your content. Also make sure you do inbound links to other pages on your site. This is what not only Google likes to see but Yahoo, Bing and others.

When you get all the SEO basics done then you can go forward with your SEO campaign. This is where the meat and potatoes comes into play. You want to make sure that you are linking to websites within the same niche and have good PR (Page Rank) to link to. Google will look at who is linking to you and the higher the PR and relevance coming back to you the better.

You can also achivie good rankings with article marketing. This is done by writing good articles or blog post of 500 words or more. Good articles will get tweeted and bookmarked and this will bring links again back to your website passing on juice.

There are a lot of things hotel owners can do themselves but as you can see sometimes the work can be hard and this is where they would hire an SEO company to do the work for them while they get ready to service new clients staying at their hotels.

Either way if you do it yourself or hire a company, just make sure you JUST DO IT!

Visit our Site

Traveling is amazing and fun, but it can also be expensive. As much as you love to travel, you may not get the chance to go everywhere you want or for as long as want because of the cost. However, if you plan well and make choices far in advance of your trip, you can find several money-saving measures that will allow you to add some time to your vacation or get you on the road to saving for your next one.

Rent out your place

While it may seem awkward to have somebody living in your house while you’re gone, it’s becoming more and more of an accepted practice, and the number of reputable businesses based on this concept is growing rapidly. You can do a “house swap” with someone in a foreign country you’d like to visit, use a website to find somebody who wants to check out your town, or just find someone through Craigslist who needs a place to rent for a few weeks while they transition.

This works best if you live in a high-demand location — Las Vegas? Excellent! Bismark, North Dakota, you might have more trouble. Even so, if you plan well in advance, you may be able to find someone that will pay you to live in your home while you’re out of town. Making money while out enjoying the world is about as good as it gets.

Avoid hotels

For most of the places you travel, lodging will be one of your biggest expenses unless you purposely look for ways to cut costs. Luckily, in most places you can also find much cheaper options than the traditional hotel. Hostels are inexpensive, and you can often find yourself sharing a room with somebody interesting from another country, which adds an extra dimension to your foreign adventures. Do some research before you go to see how much this will save and if you’ll be able to find hostels in the area you’re visiting.

You may not believe it, but you can find cheaper options than hostels, such as camping, crashing with people you know (or don’t), or even sleeping on trains as you travel from one place to the next. Depending on your tolerance of extremes and your definition of adventure, you could go couchsurfing and spend each night on a stranger’s couch or buy a month-long train-pass that allows you a somewhat comfortable mobile sleeping area. It’s all about what experiences you’re willing to try.

Buy food at grocery stores

When most people are on vacation, they tend to eat at restaurants almost every night. After all, you don’t have your fridge and access to the things you would normally eat. Remember though, the country you are visiting probably has grocery stores where you can purchase relatively cheap easy-to-prepare food (bread, fruits, etc) that will get you along just fine without having to constantly spend a ton of cash at restaurants. If you’re really trying to save money, get a little camping stove and some bowls and cook your meals out in the fresh air. You may still want to eat prepared food a couple of times so you get a chance to taste that country’s signature dishes, but eating every meal like that will end up costing you far more than you need to spend.

Traveling is about seeing and experiencing new things, and there’s no better way to get that than to live like a local, abandon the hotels, and try some adventures. There’s always the chance that something will go wrong, but if you put time in before you leave to prepare, you can find someone trustworthy to rent your place, plan out your sleeping locations and your basic meal-plan, and you can then go have a worry-free and adventure-filled vacation.

Visit our Site

Cheltenham is a town in the South West of the UK, on the edge of the Cotswolds, and sits right next to its sister town of Gloucester. The two towns began life as two villages 5 miles apart, but have since grown into two large towns right next to each other, almost joining. This article is about Cheltenham, and things to see and do there.

Cheltenham gets its name from the small river Chelt, which flows from nearby Dowdeswell and runs through the town on its way to the Severn. The town was awarded a market charter in 1226. Little is known about the early (pre-18th Century) history of the town. In 1788 King George III came for five weeks to visit the springs in Cheltenham; he was followed by many aristocratic and distinguished figures of the period, and Cheltenham’s transformation into a fashionable resort began.

Tourist attractions in Cheltenham include:

1) Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum – Contains some world famous art and artefacts including collection of William Morris – Arts and Crafts Movement; the story of Edward Wilson (who was from Cheltenham), and who went with Scott to the Antarctic; collections of rare 17th-19th Century Dutch paintings; collections of rare oriental and English ceramics. Please note – the Art Gallery and Museum will be closed from April 2011 to late 2012/early 2013 for refurbishment. Post code of the museum is GL50 3JT.

2) St Mary’s Church – The oldest building in Cheltenham, and the only medieval building left standing in the town, St Mary’s dates from the mid 11th Century. Notable features include: the 14th Century spire, a large rose window and many interesting memorials, including that of Henry Skillicorne, who developed the first Spa. Postcode of St Mary’s is GL50 3PL.

3) Hailes Abbey – The 13th Century Cistercian abbey was founded in 1246 and was once a site of pilgrimage. The Abbey ruins remain, with the cloister arches still largely intact. Postcode of the Abbey is GL54 5PB.

4) Everyman Theatre – The leading theatre for the county was designed by Frank Matcham, and is a special space that has inspired many performers down the years. Today, The Everyman stages ballet, opera, drama, dance, comedy, and music plus pantomime. The theatre has just reopened after refurbishment in 2011. Postcode of the theatre is GL50 1HQ.

5) Parks and Gardens – Cheltenham is known as being a “green” (in the sense of greenery) city, and has been named a Britain in Bloom winner on several occasions. The tree-lined Promenade with its colourful Long Gardens is one of the finest boulevards in the country and, in summer, the floral displays in the parks and gardens, together with colourful hanging baskets along many of the historic terraces, create a lively, continental atmosphere.

6) The Cheltenham Festival (horse racing) – The Cheltenham Festival, centred on the Gold Cup, is one of the horse racing calendar’s most important events. It’s been described as “four days of magic, madness and magnificence”, played out in front of 200,000 enthusiastic spectators. Go along and see if you can come away with a slightly heavier wallet than what you went in with! Dates: 13-16th March 2012

7) Shopping – The centre of Cheltenham is home to a wide range of big brands, such as Next, HMV, River Island, and Boots. The January sales are now on, so go and get yourself a bargain!

8) Cheltenham Science Festival – One of the leading science festivals in Europe. Professor Brain Cox says of the festival : “I am an avid fan of the Cheltenham Science Festival. It is, without doubt, the premier festival in the country, because it is supported by pretty much everyone who cares about promoting science in Britain.” High praise indeed. Dates: 12 – 17 June 2012.

“Centreline are one of the leading<a title="Private Jet Hire" href="http://www.centrelineair.co.uk/"rel="nofollow"> private jet hire firms in the UK. They fly regularly to the UK and Europe.” http://www.centrelineair.co.uk/.

Visit our Site

Ireland occupies a unique space in the collective imagination. It’s the land of faeries, giants, and leprechauns, where the locals live in a countryside that’s always green. The Emerald Isle is a place of magic and long legends coupled with a turbulent history, while the people remain always welcoming and hospitable. Add in the gorgeous countryside, and Ireland becomes a destination like few on Earth.

The only way to see the real Ireland — with all its cultural heritage and gloriously beautiful scenery — is through a walking tour. The Ring of Kerry, Dingle, and the Killarney Lakes are just a few of the gorgeous wonders to be experienced during your time traveling in Ireland.

A perfect way to see Ireland is on a seven day, six night tour of Ireland that starts off in Killarney with a ride to Torc Waterfall and an easy walk before a picnic in Killarney National Park. From Killarney, you can head to Kenmare and your lodging for the first two nights of the trip; make sure you visit the nearby Derreen Gardens and their extensive rhododendron and camellia collection.

Next, spend a night in Waterville after following the ancient Mass path along the Ring of Kerry. Any tour of Ireland has to include ancestral homes like Derrynane House, which is followed by a stroll along nearby Ballinskelligs Bay. After, enjoy a ferry trip to Skelling Michael Island, where colonies of seabirds pepper the island beside an old ruined monastery. End your day in the fishing town of Dingle on the mainland, where a two-night stay allows you to continue your walking exploration of the Irish countryside.

One of the hallmarks of a <a title="walking tours of ireland" href="http://classicjourneys.com/ireland/"rel="nofollow">walking tour of Ireland is the connection guides give you to the local culture. The Irish are natural-born storytellers, and getting the chance to listen to an Irish yarn is an integral part of any tour. Especially considering that a great way to spend your final night is to visit a Killarney pub to experience the music and the culture of the locals.

Matthew Delman is a travel enthusiast and writer for Classic Journeys. Exposure to the landscape and local culture are important facets of the <a title="walking in Ireland" href="http://www.classicjourneys.com"rel="nofollow">Classic Journeys style, and many of their repeat customers laud the company for offering the spontaneity, sense of discovery, and more that they desire. Classic Journeys has been called one of the Best Adventure Travel Companies on Earth by National Geographic Adventure, and Travel + Leisure named it one of the World’s Best Tour Operators. Traveling Ireland with Classic Journeys is sure to be the adventure of a lifetime.
